WELCOME TO THE PPL AUDIO REPERTOIRE SEARCH FACILITY
This service is designed for use primarily by our licensees, to obtain information about which sound recordings are in the PPL repertoire and the types of use for which those sound recordings are licensed by PPL.
MAIN SEARCH SCREEN
The main search screen allows you to search by artist name and/or sound recording title (or alternatively by ISRC). There is a maximum number of search results that can be returned, so some "artist name" only searches may be unsuccessful – if this happens, use the sound recording title as well, if possible, or contact PPL for further assistance. Please note that the PPL Audio Repertoire Search facility is intended as a general guide only, and information provided within should not be interpreted as a complete representation of all repertoire controlled by PPL or all of the uses for which that repertoire is licensed.
SEARCH RESULTS SCREEN
The search results screen displays the following headings: artist name, recording title, ISRC, rights holder, recording date and licensed uses.
The full PPL repertoire is covered by PPL’s public performance licences and broadcast (non-online, non-mobile) licences, but not all of the sound recordings in the PPL repertoire are covered by all of PPL's new media licences. The "Licensed Uses" results indicate whether a sound recording is covered by the different types of new media services/activities licensed by PPL. Click on the "Licensed Uses" link on the search results screen to find out more.
